What people pursue all their life?
As we all try to make sense of how we were and how we are now, I'd always believe that our first duty is to live life to the full. It seems that we live in panic, which makes us feel anything is never enough for us. We pursue love, health and money throughout life to make us feel alive. But we forget that we cannot live alone, loose from the world.
Nobody will be surprised if I say everyone loves money. Money can buy almost anything. Thus, people work hard to earn and save as much money as they can to buy whatever they desire or do things they dream of doing. Unfortunately, a lot of people put too much time and value into money. If working overtime is going to summon their death or break the relationships with others, then it just isn’t worth all that hard work. In Japan, the government is dealing with serious issues of their citizens dying from overworking. What is the point of having so much money, if you’re not going to have the time or energy to use that money or have someone to share with your happiness?
Most people don’t really realize that money isn’t the main source of happiness. Being healthy is more important than having lots of money. There’s no cure for dying, no matter how rich you are. There is nothing doctors can do once you’re dead. People who work hard all their life are so blinded by the money they make that they forget money can’t buy a healthy life, nor can it make them immortal. That’s why people should learn how to balance work and life. After all, “All work and no play make Jack a dull boy.”
But most importantly there’re people in this world who work so hard that they forget about their love loved ones. The longer they’re at work, the less time they spend with their family, their friends and everyone who cares and worries about them. Money can’t buy health and it certainly can’t buy love either. Being rich and healthy doesn’t mean anything when you’re all alone. The lonely prince would give away all his money just to find a true friend or a dying man would wish in his last breath to see his wife and children once more. All these scenarios show just how important love is to each and every one of us. As long as we have love, there’s the willingness to care on the burdens.
I once heard people said that “Love makes people do things they’ve never known they could have done.” And I believe it is true. I would do anything for my family and loved ones because I know, in the end, no matter how rich or poor, healthy or sick I am, they’re the only ones who will be there for me through thick and thin. That’s why love is the most important thing in this world. If we show more love to each other, then we can truly have a peaceful and harmonious world.

Should Women be Allowed in Combat in the Battle?
In this ever-changing world, women rights and issues of freedom and equality have come up in the recent issues such as military combat. As more and more people join the military to express their patriotism, many people begin to question whether it was all right for women to combat in the battle.
The answer to this question is simply yes. Long ago, only men joined the military and participated in protecting and honoring the country. Now a woman can join the military and put herself in a position where she will physically, spiritually and mentally train herself to support and serve her country as an honor, not only for herself, but for the rest of her country as well. This act of patriotism shows that, not only men are supportive of their nation, also women believes strongly for their nation’s cause and will stand side by side with men during combat. I believe if a women wishes to help support her nation, she should be encouraged and honored treated just like a man does.
But here, another question arises. Should women be allowed to combat in the battle with other men? The answer for this question could not be simply answered by yes or no. Instead we must, together, as a nation -as a world -look at the definition of peace and harmony. We should all learn to believe and trust one another, and put all our differences aside.
Even though I may be supportive of women from around the world supporting their country by joining the military, I do not support war or hatred. I believe everyone in this world has the potential to live together in peace, happiness and harmony.

What’s My Future Career?
Nowadays, it’s a common question for college students to ask themselves what they want to do in the future. For most of the students, they would say they don’t have a clue and live in anxious uncertainty. Only few of the students would already set up their future plan and stick to it. The Government has noticed this problem and encouraged all colleges to hold up different kinds of career workshops, speeches and counselors. Why do college students commonly not know what they want to do after graduating?
To enter a college, we all have to take the college entrance exam. In the old days, we can see it more competitive than it is now. Probably only one out of ten can go to college, but almost everyone can enter college easily now. Having a college degree isn’t unique and special, and college students can be seen everywhere. This may cause students who don’t want to further study fear they won’t have a job and the ability or skill to catch up enterprises’ requirements.
In Taiwan, most of the student majors were chosen up by their parents or they may lose interest in studying the subjects, which may lower their learning attitude, causing them to give up school and waste their time fooling around. Not thinking what they want, but live in their own fantasy world, considering things will somehow work out. Only a few students would change their major or go to different courses to figure out what their real interest is.
Some of the Taiwan parents are so overprotecting children, too. For example, one of my classmates’ family background is pretty good/rich. His parent brought him cars, pay for his phone bills, gives him allowance and almost everything he wants. He thinks that his parent is rich, so he doesn’t need to find a job or set up a future plan for himself. Not like the American Family. They let their children develop their own ways and young teenagers have to work part time jobs for their extra needs.
For me, I once went through a “fog” time, thinking what kind of future career I would want during college. Because of double majoring(Business Management and English), learning computer, it seems there are plenty of career paths for me to choose. But the world’s economy went down in 2007. It made it harder to find a job that I truly want. But after counseling with my professor, participating in several career speeches and petting my family’s advice, I drew up a time line that represents each five years and wrote it to eighty years old on what I want to do. It wasn’t easy! Finding the career you want is hard. You got to figure it out one step by a time and I believe you will find it!

How to Manage a Team in Different Sections?
Many people must have the experience in grouping up a team for a project, report, or competition and not having any difficulties in managing it. No doubt that we all have met some difficulties during running a project, such as misunderstanding, conflicts, etc. The time frame for a team can be divided into different sections: Starting up, grouping and combining, project closing.
In “Starting up” of the project, Teammates have all sorts of thought and ideas in leading the project. Different opinions may cause a brilliant creative main structure for the project or a long big argument. For me, I consider it absolutely necessary to set up a set of rules for the teammates to agree on before the project begins. Not only would this build up a team’s discipline, such as not being late to any meeting, but also get everyone to pay attention to others’ suggestions, strategies with respect. For example, I always set up a rule that is “
Everyone shall spread their ideas and thoughts during discussions or meetings reasonably and before the meetings we should do all the researches which can help us realize what the project is about. ” By setting up this rule, my teammates would have fewer conflicts and complaints while dealing with big decisions for the project’s directions.
Secondly, the members of the team usually take different responsibilities. For example, the project manager makes sure all the details and procedures are working and going on fine;
teammates, who are usually divided into different of groups to carry out different functions, such as group promotion, group administration and so on.. Managing such a complicated structure makes the team go through “grouping and combining” section. Because in a team there can be different types of people, who may not have the time to know each other or may have communication problems, so it’s necessary to build up a clear connection bridge (windows/contactors) in all groups, so that people can know who to find when they need resources or help.
And then the team goes to “project closing” part. When the team runs a project from the half way to the end, it means it’s at the “project closing” section. The teammates have a clear image of what their projects are running about and know what their tasks are. At this section, the project manager will have to keep an eye on group members’ work and see whether the project delayed or on time.
I cannot say that managing a team by dividing them into three parts is the best way. But this is how I manage teamwork when doing a project. I truly hope that everyone could have a good time in doing a project and also realize the importance of teamwork.
